Plainfield's Top Sale Hits $440,000 as Eight Deeds Are Recorded Countywide
Eight deeds were recorded in Plainfield from Aug. 21 to Sept. 19, five with a listed sale price. Prices among those five ranged from $20,000 to $440,000, with a median of $25,000. The period's top sale was 234 South Central St, which sold for $440,000 on Aug. 28, more than seven times the next-highest recorded price. South Central Street had three separate transactions, the most of any street in the data set. Three of the five priced sales listed a bank as the buyer. Prices for the remaining three deeds, including a town-to-individual sale at 278 East Main St, had not yet reached the registry as of this report.
