Plainfield Records Five September Deeds, Highest Sale Fetches $440,000
Hampshire County Registry of Deeds recorded five Plainfield documents between Aug. 28 and Sept. 26, but only three were completed property sales. Prices ranged from $20,000 for 257 South Central St. to $440,000 for 234 South Central St., with a median of $60,000. The other two documents, covering 208 West Hill Road and 44 Bow Street, were homestead declarations filed by existing owners, not sales, and carry no sale price. The period's most notable transaction was the $440,000 sale of 234 South Central St. from Matthew Ingellis and Payton Atwell to April Joy Littlefield. With just three sales recorded, transaction volume for the period was limited.
