Plainfield Select Board Approves Special Town Meeting Warrant for February 25

PLAINFIELD — February 11, 2025 — Plainfield Select Board approves three-article special town meeting warrant for February 25. The board voted unanimously Tuesday to send voters three questions: whether to convert the town clerk and tree warden from elected to appointed positions, and whether to transfer an unspecified amount from the stabilization fund to cover an unpaid KP Law legal bill from a prior fiscal year. Town Councilor Ed Moran was designated to sign and post the warrant. The board also received an update on a three-town veterans engagement initiative coordinated with the VA of Northampton, with a board member identified as Justin reporting roughly 67 veterans across the three participating communities, approximately 20 of them over age 60.
